Supporting youth, teachers and families worldwide through the COVID-19 Pandemic

COVID-19 Coronavirus Support for youth, teachers and families

Amid ongoing concern about the coronavirus COVID-19, our top priority is supporting the mental wellbeing of students and the challenge posed to educators as they adapting to remote teaching. Students, teachers and families are facing dramatic changes not only in their daily lives, but in the panic and fear that has swept the nation. Right now, our society needs mental health support and emotional resilience more than ever! You can access free activity worksheets from our H.E.A.R.T. SEL Curriculum Program by contacting support@rethinkstigma.org

ABOUT THE H.E.a.R.T. SEL CURRICULUM PROGRAM

H.E.A.R.T. is a social-emotional learning (SEL) program geared towards improving the way adolescents between the ages of 10 and 15 treat others and themselves. As a result of participating in the H.E.A.R.T. program, schools can create a more empathetic, responsible and emotionally resilient generation of youth while effectively reducing bullying and creating a culture of safety, health and wellness at the school and beyond. The easy-to-follow H.E.A.R.T. curriculum reinforces values that are often lost or misunderstood during the socially and emotionally vulnerable years of middle school, resulting in wide-spread and long-term benefits for participating individuals and the whole student body. Our program is complete with 3 key components: the videos, workbook, and school speaker.

You can learn more by visiting our H.E.A.R.T. webpage or download our informational brochure which explains each component of the curriculum, the impact of our program, and the research-based benefits of social-emotional learning.

In addition to our resources for students, we offer faculty training on how to implement the curriculum and a Mental Health Workshop for all teachers and staff to support a "school-wide" impact on mental health and wellness. While other SEL curriculum providers simply ship a box of resources to schools, our staff works closely with the involved school faculty throughout the implementation of the H.E.A.R.T. Program to maximize ease on the staff and effectiveness for the students.

Mental health and wellness support World-Wide

H.E.A.R.T. is the first mental health curriculum to be taught in schools in Nepal and we plan to continue growing and expanding our program to developing countries and underserved communities around the world! So far this year, over 3,000 children in rural areas of Nepal have their own workbook and are being taught the H.E.A.R.T. Program by counselors from the Sambhavya Foundation.
